Last Meeting i went to was 2 Years ago and yes some poor little Mite was getting his regular Thursday Night thrashing..he would have been about 5/6 then.If i ever saw that again,i like to think i would say something.Thanks to my own regular beatings back in the 70,s (along with my 2 Brothers)i view even touching a Child in an aggressive manner (smacking,slapping whatever)as a form of Child abuse.

Do J.W.'s still spank their kids in Kingdom Hall libraries to punish them?
by hubert ini've heard a lot on this subject, and was wondering if it's a common practice?.
can you go to a meeting and almost always see some poor kid getting a walloping in the back room for talking or misbehaving at the meeting?
or is this a thing of the past?.

What age were you baptised? Do you regret it?
by doodle-v ini would have gotten baptised at the first "special assembly day" but i got sick just a few days before.
so i got baptised at the d.c.that same year instead.
i regret it, but at the time i thought i was doing the right thing, i sincerely believed i was dedicating my life to serving god.

Bloody disgraceful behaviour of JWs!!!!
by Gill ini think that this week i may have seriously reached the end of my tether completely with jehovah's witness, or those idiots that claim that they're the ones that are only good enough to live forever in god's new system and the rest of us are bird food!.
i have posted a couple of times this week about the horrible things that have happened to my husband's grandfather due to his money grabbing, jw daughter and that was all bad enough.. my eldest son, is now carrying on a sexual relationship with a regular full time pioneer and is staying around her house while her parents are on holiday.
i'm not happy with my son either by the way but at least he's not claiming to be anything he isn't.

Ive known many nice,decent JW,s (my parents for instance)and also some serious dickheads.Its like all parts of society..no more,no less.
Mind you ,i will say that many younger JW,s definitely cant hold their drink.Out in Town only about 3 weeks ago i saw a group of them from a neighboring Cong in the Club we were in..absolutely wasted and 1 of them was clearly looking for trouble.He made many disparaging remarks to me about non JW<s (?!!?)in front of my "worldly"mates and was lucky his obnoxious behaviour didnt result in a bunch of 5,s!
In the end we just moved on and left the Drunk bore with his pissead Buds.I wonder if they went to the Meeting the next Morning!

I would love to see the back of him,but sadly i think hes in for another 4 Years.
Im going for Tories,though its kind of a wasted vote in my area...its been Tory for over 100 Years with one of the safest seats in the Country.

This Man has clearly been through a lot...but i sometimes wonder if his style (placards,trucks with signs on etc)is at the very least counter productive?
I would run a Mile if i encountered somebody like that in my area.

thing is, i recently learned something that have changed the daleks forever for me.

I love 24.I havent seen any episodes of the new series yet though.Its far too frustrating to watch just 45 minutes a week!
I will wait till August when the DVD comes out then just waste a Weekend watching it all.Thats what i did with the last 2 Series.
